Dessert is probably the best part of the Thanksgiving meal. Somehow, after gorging ourselves with mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey and that odd casserole your aunt brought, we find room for dessert.
I always feel like I have a separate stomach that is just for the dessert. I can look at the entrees and think to myself, "There's no way I could fit another morsel in my body".
Then I look over at the pie and think, "Maybe just a bite or two of pumpkin pie though....".
Here are some other dessert options I've posted over the years that have been family favorites.
Autumn Pumpkin Tart is a lower calorie version of pumpkin pie that tastes just like the real thing.
This cheesecake is a lot of work, but oh my goodness a slice of heaven! White Chocolate Dulche-Le-Dulche
This one is one of my family's very favorite dessert recipes Carrot Cake
With the flavors of Autumn, perfect served after dinner with coffee Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake
If you're looking for something different try Caramel Apple Gingerbread
Coming up next: My favorite Thanksgiving bread/muffin favorite recipes. All next week I'll be posting my favorite sides, appetizers, and more. Tis the season to be thinking about food!
