Beer Cheese Dip (appetizer)

This is not a healthy or low calorie recipe, but I made it last minute for a quick appetizer this Thanksgiving. Everyone liked it so much, I thought I'd share it because it would make a nice Christmas appetizer as well.

It's super addicting and as easy as pie. Easier actually. I found the recipe at Kraft's website and wondered why I've never made it before.

My Thanksgiving was nice and low key and we traveled this weekend to see family and friends. The highlight of my trip was going to my favorite store in the whole world, Ikea. I found some awesome things for my house that I'll share on another post.

I can't wait to start making Christmas recipes.....

NOTE: Make this a night ahead

Beer Cheese Dip
adapted from kraft.com
1 8-oz. block cream cheese, room temp
1/4 c. Ranch dressing
1/4 packet Ranch dressing flavor packet
1 c. shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/4 c. beer
2 chopped green onions or chives

1. Beat cream cheese and dressing with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in the other ingredients. Refrigerate overnight or several hours. Serve with crackers of any kind.

Is this 1 oz. of cream cheese or 1 8oz. package of cream cheese. 1 ounce doesn't really make sense!

I made a dip for a Thanksgiving appetizer that has cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning and cheddar but the beer would have put it over the top. Can't wait to try this version!
